It’s time to look back on 2022 and celebrate

We can all agree that the last two years have been a roller coaster for businesses. Throughout that time, your team has come together to face new challenges, navigate changes, and help your business move forward. Now, as we near the end of 2022, it’s time to celebrate your accomplishments.

To help you choose the perfect event for your team, we’ve put together some suggestions in this post.

1. Book a retrospective to look back on your wins

One easy way to celebrate your team’s successes is to host a retrospective meeting that focuses on the highlights of the last year. This can be as simple as crowd sourcing wins from each team member or department, and presenting those back with accolades once the team is gathered.

These meetings can be made even more special with individual awards like “Best Communicator,” “Most Likely to Set Healthy Boundaries,” or “Most Valuable Snack Bringer.” This can add a bit of fun into the lead-up to the retrospective as people vote and campaign for each award.

At our iQ Offices locations, leaders can book any of our meeting rooms to gather their teams, bring in snacks and beverages, and take a walk down memory lane.

2. Splurge on a great dinner downtown

Celebrating your team with good food, drinks, and service is never a bad idea. If budget allows, set up a reservation at a well-known restaurant and treat your employees. They’ll appreciate having an event outside of the office, and the chance to connect with people on the team they might not engage with otherwise.

Depending on the size of your team, you may need to book a private dining room, or rent out the whole restaurant. Pro tip: start reaching out to restaurants early. Things book up quickly leading up to the holidays!

Since our buildings are all in downtown locations, iQ Offices Members can book an end-of-year dinner at any of the many great nearby restaurants. That way, the whole team can have a casual day in the office and stroll over to the dinner venue right after the work day.

3. Book an event space for a holiday party

Teams that have a healthy event budget might also consider booking an event space and hiring vendors to throw a big bash. You can work with an event planner and hire food vendors, a mixologist, and maybe even a DJ. Live entertainers — like a musician or a comedian — can also add a fun element to your event.

An event like this is a great way to inject some energy into your team, and truly show them how grateful you are for the work they’ve done and the successes they’ve achieved. This way, they can head into the new year feeling celebrated and acknowledged.

At select iQ Offices locations, Members can book event locations and host their holiday parties there. This way, your team doesn’t even have to leave the building as they transition into party time.
