About the Venue
The Vault is located at the corner of University Avenue and Queen Street West, directly in front of the Osgoode Subway Station. This open concept space features concrete walls and columns, custom iron design elements, a variety of seating options, a fully equipped bar, and a catering prep area. For some friendly competition, there is a professional putting green with six holes, enabling 18-foot putts. In addition, the space comes fully equipped with surround sound and there are 4 70” television screens integrated into a floating media wall which are perfect for audio-visual presentations. The Vault has a max capacity of 250 guests.
The Vault comes full equiped with the following:
- In house A/V including (4) 70″ televisions, 2 wireless microphones and surround sound
- A variety of furniture including 4 leather sofas, 18 bar stools, cruiser and coffee tables, 30 chairs
- Separate kitchen prep area
- 18ft PGA Putting Green
- Tables for up to 40 guests in various formations
- X4 rolling coat racks with hangers for up to 60 guests
- 3 breakout rooms with full A/V
- On site venue coordinator
- Built in 16ft full service bar
- The Vault is 100% accessible
$500/ hour minimum 3 hours required
We require a Special Occasion Permit obtained through the AGCO and additional event insurance. A smart serve certified bartender is required to service the bar.
To ensure the safety of guest and vendors, a minimum of 1 security guard is required at $35/hour/guard.
Use of the in house A/V system is included. Upgraded speakers and microphone available at $100.

What are the venue capacities?
Dineen Lounge: 60 Standing, 32 Seated
The Vault: 230 Standing, 100 Seated
The King York Terrace: 250 Inside, 350 Outside
Can I bring in more furniture?
Yes! We work closely with Chairman Mills. They know our space well so I would highly recommend using them.
Can we remove all the furniture?
No. We might be able to put a few items in the hallway or in unused boardrooms, but we cannot confirm that all the furniture can be removed.
Are you licensed?
We do not have an alcohol license. A lot of the caterers on our preferred list are licensed so if you choose to go with them, nothing more is needed from you. Otherwise, obtaining an SOP is a very simple process which I can explain to you in an email.
What time can I rent the space until?
Events can go until 2:00 AM at which time all guests must be out of the event space. Tear down can exceed this timing.
Can we have open flames?
Open flames are permitted at The Dineen Lounge and The King York Terrace. Open Flame is NOT permitted inside the Vault.
Do you have onsite catering?
No, we do not have onsite catering. We do have a list of preferred caterers who we work with closely, and who knows our space well.
Can we use a caterer who is not on the preferred list?
Yes, they can use someone who isn’t on the preferred catering list however they will pay a higher landmark fee of 20%.
Is there a landmark fee?
Yes. Our landmark fee is 10% for our preferred caterers and 20% for any caterers not on our preferred list.
What is a landmark fee?
A landmark fee is a percentage of the total caterer invoice that is paid to the venue for operating within that venue. This is charged to the client on the catering invoice and is then forwarded to the venue.
Do we need liability insurance?
Yes, a lot of people will tack on the liability insurance to their existing business insurance for one day. Another option is to purchase it from a separate insurance company such as PAL. iQ needs to be mentioned as an insured party as written in the contract.
Is there parking?
None of our venues have parking. All of our locations are conveniently located close to public transit, and there are many parking garages within walking distance of each venue.
