Safety is our new obsession
We have taken this time to work hard on an operational plan designed to support safety in our spaces when it comes time to return to the office. View it here.

A Note From our CEO, Kane Willmott
These are unprecedented times. Each decision presents multiple consequences. Therefore, we remain vigilantly focused on first the health and well-being of those we serve, and second on supporting them to the best of our ability.
I am so proud of our team for pulling together to make decisions quickly, communicate feedback and be ever-present through this time. Although there has not been a lot of time to reflect in this fast-changing environment, we have been able to step back and recognize that SPACE is only one element of the value we offer our Members. More important is the service, the human connection, the genuine care that we have for each and everyone at iQ. So today we pivot. Today we ask ourselves the same question we always do: “How do we serve our Members so they can bring the best version of themselves to work every day?” Bob Riley said: “Hard times do not create heroes; it is during the hard times when the hero within us is revealed”. We are here to support all the heroes of iQ, as they create their story of how they overcame adversity. This will pass, and the stories we tell about how we stood together will be one of the greatest stories of our professional lives. Stay safe all and know we are here and committed to supporting you.

Are iQ Offices locations open?
All locations are operating in an After-Hours mode and only accessible via Member access cards.
What services have been affected?
Currently, we are unable to accept bookings for our meeting rooms, event venues, and onsite location tours. To those looking to see an available private office space during this time, we are happy to offer on-demand virtual tours at all our locations across Canada.
Is iQ Staff onsite?
In an effort to protect the health and safety of our Members and our staff we have moved to a fully remote Community team. Our teams are available via Slack, email, phone and Zoom during this time. Our onsite cleaning staff are still maintaining their regular onsite schedule and will continue to do so as long as it remains safe.
What is iQ doing to keep the spaces safe and clean for those needing to access their office space?
Our onsite cleaning team is maintaining their regular schedule with heightened attention paid to high touchpoints such as doorknobs, shared surfaces, elevator buttons, and handrails. We continue to complete regular deep cleans and sanitation measures across our locations and have made Lysol wipes and hand sanitizer available in all shared spaces where supplies remain available. Additionally, we are encouraging those needing to access the space to adhere to social distancing rules and practice consistent and thorough hand washing. Lastly, we are mandating Members to self-isolate and thus refrain from visiting our locations if they are experiencing any symptoms of a cold or flu, or if they have travelled outside of Canada within the last 14 days. We are asking all of our Members and landlords to notify us immediately if they become aware of any individual in the building who may have been exposed to, or is confirmed positive for, COVID-19.
How is mail being redirected without staff onsite?
Our Community teams are still making every effort to support your mail distribution. As per the communication sent on March 24th, we are asking all Members to connect directly with their Community Manager to advise on the best mail management system for your unique business. At this time, we are offering Mail Forwarding and Mail Hold services and our Community Managers are equipped with the tools to sort these logistics for you.
What if I need to get something from my private office?
At this time, our buildings are operating in ‘After–Hours’ mode, meaning your private office space is accessible to you using your personal access cards. We are encouraging Members to work remotely when possible and iQ will keep our locations open for businesses deemed essential until it is unsafe, or not possible for us to do so.
Can I use the kitchen while onsite?
To mitigate the health and safety risk, we have removed all shared amenities from our kitchens (i.e. mugs, cups, snack dispensers, coffee, tea) and we are not operating our onsite dishwashers. However, our sinks remain available should you require them. We have stocked each location with bottled/carton water and pre-packaged snacks for those who continue to access their space to operate businesses deemed essential.
What is the current timeline associated with this adjusted operation plan?
We are committed to keeping apprised of the recommendations of our Federal, Provincial, and Municipal governments and the leading authorities in COVID 19 response. We will maintain consistent and open communication with our Members as the situation continues to evolve.
Will there be additional programming in lieu of cancelled Happy Hours?
Absolutely, please look out for your weekly email updates from the iQ Community Team. We are developing a full roster of VMP (Virtual Member Programming) to provide relevant content, lift your spirits, and promote a continued sense of community amongst our Members. If there is anything we can do to better support you and your team during this time we would love to hear from you. Please reach out directly to your Community team to share your ideas or suggestions.
